2015 NOPE Donation

On May 30, 2015, OneLove JamFest was proud to present our donation of $20,100 to NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education) Pinellas Task Force. In 5 years, we are thrilled to have contributed $72,800. NOPE is a group of community leaders and parents working to save lives through dramatic personal presentations about the deadly consequences of prescription drug abuse. They educate students in both middle and high schools and NOPE has reached over 80,000 students in Pinellas County. Landon Korabek’s story is one of many stories about young people that have died or struggled with prescription drugs. The goal is to plant seeds so students make good choices and call 911 to save a life. The JamFest donation also helps support the annual NOPE Candlelight Vigil, held in October, to remember those affected by addiction or the loss of a family member. Additionally, this year NOPE presented scholarships to 5 Pinellas County high school seniors attending college. It takes a community, near and far, to support OneLove JamFest and we are so grateful for your support that helps make this donation to an organization that is saving lives.
