2014 NOPE Donation

Landon Korabek OneLove JamFest was honored to present to NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education) a donation of $16,500 on July 27. NOPE reaches thousands of students and parents, in middle and high school across Pinellas County, through their impactful presentations that explain the dangers of prescription drug abuse and the sometimes unexpected fatal results. Recent CDC studies state that education is one of the factors that is reducing drug overdoses. NOPE’s education works, students listen. The JamFest donation also helps support the annual NOPE Candlelight Vigil, held in October, to remember those affected by addiction or the loss of a family member. Additionally, this year NOPE presented scholarships to 3 Pinellas County high school seniors attending college.
