2014 OneLove JamFest - Huge Success!
Landon Korabek OneLove JamFest 2014 – Wow! A terrific event and fundraiser to remember Landon. Thank you for the terrific turnout and support. There is no greater joy then seeing so many people come together to support NOPE (Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education) and the Landon Korabek Music Scholarship at Marcia P Hoffman School of the Arts. All of the bands really played their hearts out as the crowd widely danced. Thanks to Steve Shabala, Guru2, Six Volt Rodeo, Horny Toads and Shenanigans and thank you for the surprising autographed guitar. Thanks to Dr. Sherry Showalter for kicking off this event with her spiritual wisdom and reminding us that Landon is always with us . A huge thanks to the Thirsty Marlin, Brian St. Arnold, the entire staff as you all did an amazing job servicing everyone that attended the event. Our ability to raise money would not be possible without the support of many, many businesses through their donations, program and t-shirt sponsorships. Please support these businesses! What makes this event run so smoothly is the help of so many volunteers; those that helped with set-up, selling tickets and tshirts, manning the silent auction table, selling balloons and 50/50 tickets, pulling raffle tickets and posting the winners, and so much more. Over 30 volunteers helped and we are so grateful. Finally, OneLove JamFest takes months of planning and coordination done by a committee of 8 people. They help with donations, marketing, event day planning, band engagement, basket assembly, program design and poster and shirt design. They give countless hours – thank you Kendra, Karen, Lori, Tanya, Shirley, Lis and Brenda. You ladies rock. Stay tuned for the final tally of what was earned from the event. Finally, talk to your children about the dangers of prescription drugs using Landon’s story as reality and truth that this can happen to them. OneLove.
